The KIT7_M is a professional-grade 12V marine solar charging kit built around two high-quality 285W monocrystalline solar panels, with each panel measuring 1550mm by 880mm by 35mm. Together, they deliver a powerful 570W system that is ideal for boat owners with high daily energy requirements.
At the heart of your solar system is the Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/50 charge controller. This intelligent device actively maximises the energy harvest from your panels, charging your battery bank up to 30 per cent faster than older, traditional controllers. With built-in Bluetooth, you can communicate directly with the controller from your phone or tablet to view live solar wattage, charging current, and detailed historical performance through the VictronConnect app.
For physical security on the water, this kit replaces standard plastic mounts with premium aluminium alloy brackets. This set of brackets is crafted from high-grade aluminium for long-term durability and is specifically designed to resist rotation and loosening over time, even under the constant vibration of a marine deck. The brackets use double bolts at the base to ensure your panels remain secure in changing offshore conditions. Installation is simple: first attach the brackets to the panel frames using the shorter 20mm M8 bolts, then secure the entire assembly to your deck or cabin roof using the longer 30mm bolts. All required M8 bolts, nuts, and washers are included in the kit.
To run your cabling safely inside, the kit features a genuine Scanstrut double cable entry gland. This eliminates any worry about drilling holes in your deck or cabin roof by providing a guaranteed, IP68 watertight seal for both cables through a single, low-profile fitting. Made from high-impact, UV-stabilised material, it is designed specifically to withstand harsh marine environments and sun exposure without cracking, degrading, or leaking.
The kit is curated to offer a complete charging foundation and also includes a 100A Midi fuse holder, a 60A Midi fuse for robust circuit protection, pin connectors, copper tube terminals, and a pair of 5-metre solar extension cables with pre-fitted MC4 connectors.
